Funeral Ceremonies
Let's tell the whole story,
not just one chapter
A meaningful farewell should tell us who someone really was - the things they loved, the people they treasured, their quirks, their humour, their adventures and all those little stories that still make people say, “That was SO them.”
Please note: Travel further than 40km from Morrinsville will incur a milage fee
Common Questions
What exactly does a Celebrant do?
A Celebrant works with you to create a ceremony that is deeply personal and unique. Whether it’s a farewell, a milestone, or a family celebration, my role is to listen to your stories and weave them into a service that reflects the true essence of the occasion.
Does the ceremony have to be religious?
Not at all. Your ceremony can be religious, spiritual, or entirely secular. The most important thing is that it feels 'right' for you. We can include prayers, readings, or rituals from any tradition - or focus entirely on life stories and music.
Can family and friends take part?
Absolutely. Including loved ones through readings, music, or personal tributes adds a wonderful layer of meaning to any ceremony. I can help family members prepare what they would like to say or lead those parts for them if it feels easier.
We don’t know where to start. Can you help?
Planning a ceremony can feel overwhelming during emotional times. I’ll guide you through the process step-by-step, asking the right questions to help draw out the memories and details that make your story truly special.
How long does a ceremony usually last?
Most ceremonies last between 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the number of tributes and the tone we wish to set. We will work together to ensure the pace feels natural, respectful, and never rushed.
Where can we hold the funeral service?
Ceremonies can take place in chapels, gardens, community halls, or even your family home. I am happy to travel throughout the Waikato area to a location that holds significant meaning for you and your family.
